A man smeared human faeces on his 10-year-old daughter's lips as punishment for being disobedient, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.
The daily reported that the incident happened in a market in Hangzhou, China.
The man, in his 30s, had scraped the faeces from a public toilet bowl at a market in Hangzhou and smeared it on his daughter's lips.
He did it five times, going into the toilet each time to scrape faeces.
The man has since owned up to his actions after being reprimanded by the police.
He said he punished his daughter because she did not obey his instructions to arrange newspapers properly.
